Job Opening for Finance Manager in Southfield, Michigan
K&A Resource Group is seeking to place a qualified candidate for an open, permanent position of Finance Manager for a company in Southfield, MI.
High Level Position Details:
- Job Title: Finance Manager
- Location: Southfield, MI in Oakland County
- Reports To: Finance Director
- Salary Range: $110,000 – $120,000 per year
Duties of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Analyze, review and understand results- preparation of variance analysis and flashes (operational and cash)
- Monthly management reporting for business unit and corporate reporting requirements
- Analyze, coordinate, review budget and forecasts for regions
- Work with plants and other departments to ensure accuracy of reporting – support for site controllers
- Manage all aspects of accounting and preparation/review of account reconciliations
- Analyze and investigate activity within certain accounts – inventory reserves, CIP, fixed assets, receivable and payables, customer tooling, VAT
- Interact with both internal and external auditors and internal control team
- Prepare and review Sarbanes-Oxley documentation, testing and walkthrough for specified accounts
- Prepare monthly / quarterly Internal Control and Balance Sheet Analysis documentation
- Profitability analysis at site level and full channel
- Analyze and evaluate potential investments; including post project analysis & monthly reporting requirements
- Monthly analysis of intercompany balances and impacts
- Participate business unit workshop, supporting ongoing friction improvement team
- Balance sheet reviews as needed in support of finance director needs / travel schedule
- Internal control project support
- Position serves as backup to Sr. Analyst as needed
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
- MBA preferred; CPA or Charter a plus
- Ten plus years of Accounting or Finance experience required
- Experience with month-end close
- SAP knowledge preferred
- Costing experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills required
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Bilingual or Multilingual a plus
- Foreign exchange analysis experience preferred
